Here is a list of foreign (outside India) MBA schools that typically offer scholarships / aid to a high proportion of admitted students. This list may help students prepare their shortlist effectively, if costs are a major consideration. Please note that this is based on historical data. Also, note that this is largely based on percentage of admitted students getting some form of aid, which means that you have to be qualified enough to secure an admission first. Also note the phrase 'some form of aid', which has some inherent vagueness... But trust me, I've not included schools that give $100 aid :D

1. Texas A&M Mays - Arguably, it is a US-MBA program with highest ROI, offering large number and amount of financial aid to admitted students.
2. University of Georgia - Terry.
3. Kellogg - Northwestern University.
4. NUS - National University of Singapore.
5. NTU - Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
6. BU - Boston University.
7. Tuck, Dartmouth.
8. Katz - University of Pittsburgh.
9 . University of Massachusetts Amherst - Isenberg
10. MSU - Michigan State University.

What are scholarship providers looking for in the essay? We all should know these providers. They can be Pepsi, Microsoft, McDonald's, and even colleges. But none of that matters as much as the scholarship essay? What are scholarship providers looking for in the essay?

Like it or not, largely the scholarship committee looks for the academic strength of the applicant, and assigns a high weightage to factors such as performance in the college, GMAT score, etc. Therefore -

  • Mention about our academic accomplishments in the college.
  • Write about the community work, extra-curricular activities you were/are involved in.
  • Mention how the course suits your specific needs.

However, you should keep in mind that you really are answering the question asked. So, if asked about your career goals, you should mainly write about your future plans, while only briefly mentioning your past accomplishments. Sponsored scholarships, such as those offered by Microsoft, may look for the candidate's interest in a specific industry sector.

Hi,
Nothing as such. You can do MBA in India. India have lots of good MBA colleges. Yes, India is a male dominated society, but I think you will enjoy living here. Great people, great food.....but sometimes it get too crowdy, clumpsy etc. But MBA colleges are great and will lots of good faculties. Please let me know from where you want to do.
